Escape Games:
Escape games have been become a popular activity throughout the United States and in Asia, Australia, and Europe. Escape rooms provide fun for friends, groups, and families. This unique experience is also great for corporate team building. The games are intellectually stimulating, and challenging fun for anyone. Find clues, unlock codes, and solve the puzzles in 60 minutes to escape!
Our mission:
Why did we start Escape Muncie? Because escape room games are FUN! And because our family has really enjoyed our experiences with escape games. But primarily, we started Escape Muncie as a way to support our non-profit organization, Journey Home Jamaica. A portion of all proceeds will be given to this charity to be used to support the ministry objectives and to serve those in need on the west end of this impoverished nation. How you help!
Did you know that your escape game helps lots of people? Yep, that’s right! When you play at Escape Muncie, a portion of the cost of your game goes to our non-profit, Journey Home Jamaica!
Journey Home Jamaica was formed in 2011 when Bruce and Jen went to Jamaica on a second honeymoon. We had a blast, fell in love with the beaches, the people, and the food! But we saw so many of the needs on the island that we knew we needed to help. Since that first trip, we’ve been back numerous times taking mission teams to do outreach. There are tens of thousands of displaced, orphaned or uncared for children in Jamaica. We are excited to help children and families on the island.
Since Escape Muncie opened in July 2016, we have sent over 2400 pounds of shoes, clothes, toys, and household items to help local Jamaican families in need. We help to sponsor Word to Life International Church and their Vacation Bible School and other outreach services. Journey Home Jamaica has helped to purchase a 24 passenger bus for Jesus Way Jamaica to transport kids from inner city Kingston to youth group services where they can connect and learn about Jesus. JHJ through EM helped to bring Pastor Badio and his family of five from Haiti to Jamaica to serve. JHJ helps to sponsor Hope for Jamaica and their outreach efforts across the island. Journey Home Jamaica has also sponsored a mamma and her unborn baby in Haiti. Yep, your escape game dollars did all of that!
We also give back to our local community, too. We have given about 7000 pounds of clothing and textiles to the Disabled American Veterans for them to use to raise money. Escape Muncie also gives through Ball State University, the YWCA, the United Way, Christian Ministries and many other non-profits that help around the Muncie community.
